In October 2020, Lydia Ko’s life took an unexpected yet beautiful turn when she met Jun Chung on a blind date. He was working for Hyundai in San Francisco at the time, and little did they know that this chance meeting would change everything. Over the next two years, their connection deepened, and Lydia Ko knew she had found something truly special. In a moment filled with emotion and anticipation, Lydia Ko decided to take a leap of faith. She proposed to Jun in the most personal and heartfelt way—by inscribing the words “Will you marry me?” on a set of golf balls.
The last ball had a simple yet profound invitation for Jun: to circle “Yes” or “No.” And of course, it was a yes, and got married on December 30, 2022. This year, they celebrated their second Valentine’s as a married couple and decided to keep things private. All she did was put up a selfie of them together on her Instagram story, and wrote, “My forever Valentine.”
